Your guide

Shwmae, I'm Kerry.

Cardiff born and bred, I grew up hearing my nan's stories about the coal boom, the docks and the old arcades. Now I share them with visitors from all over the world. Expect history, a few legends, the best places for a Welsh cake and plenty of laughs.

"You can't rush Cardiff. Come and walk it with me."

Good to know

Where do we meet?

Outside the main gate of Cardiff Castle on Castle Street, CF10. Look for Kerry and the red umbrella at 12:55pm.

What if it rains?

Tours go ahead rain or shine. Plenty of the route is under cover in the arcades and the market, and Kerry carries spare ponchos.

Is it accessible?

The 60-minute route is flat and step-free, so it's fine for wheelchairs and buggies. The 120-minute route has a few gentle slopes in Bute Park.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes. Private tours for families, schools, hen parties and corporate groups run on any day, including Cardiff Bay routes. Get in touch for a price.

Do you go inside the castle?

The tour covers the outside, the Animal Wall and the castle's story. Kerry will tell you the best way to visit inside afterwards.
